Poppy Craft-A-Flower![]()
Hello and welcome to the November Craft-A-Flower blog hop celebrating Poppy, the newest member of the Craft-A-Flower family. Craft-A-Flower is a series of dies that when the die cut pieces are combined together, build a beautiful flower. I hope you are finding a lot of inspiration on this hop. You have just come from the highly talented Victoria Calvin from Victoria Marie Designs. Your next stop is the very creative Kelly Griglione from Notable Nest. You can start at the beginning of the hop by visiting the Altenew Card Blog.
This was my first time using a Craft-A-Flower from Altenew and I am hooked. To get this detail, texture and dimension from a series of die cuts is amazing. Pairing the Craft-A-Flower Poppy with some specialty cardstocks like Stardream metallics gives the flowers a cool shine.
To assemble this card, I first laid down a soft layer of ink in Arctic and Caribbean Sky inks using the Altenew blending brush. This brush gives a soft glow and is easy to use. Then I layered the Garden Trellis Die Cut from white paper over the card base. FInally I added the layers of the Craft-A-Flower Poppy. Here are the colors of Stardream Metallic cardstock I used:
Rose Quartz, Azalea, Mars, Gold, Aloe and Green Grass The sentiment is from the Altenew Script words 2 die set and was die cut using Rose Quartz Stardream metallic cardstock. The subsentiment is from Altenew Teacher's Rule stamp set and stamped in Altenew Obsidian ink.
I love this card for the soft colors and great dimension. Check out the monthly subscription option from Altenew. Each month a new Craft-A-Flower with really cool and intricate designs will be delivered to you. Let me know in the comments below if you have tried a Craft-A-Flower before and if so, which one?
